From sketch to model

 

The torso expresses the theme “violence”:

 

4 expressions: threat warlike holding of attack furious, injured warrior through the missing arms you can feel the helplessness against a bigger, stronger power and the figur of the powerless

 

Working on the stone: the different surfacestructures make the arms look like torn out or beaten off. The features of the face emerge through fine smooth tooltracing.
